The Only Coffee I Recommend
As a holistic nutritionist, I’ve learned firsthand that coffee isn’t always the “healthy” drink many people believe it to be. And if you love coffee—I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
But stick with me—there’s good news ahead.
You don’t have to give up coffee entirely, and you can still support your health while enjoying it!
The Problem with Coffee
The biggest issue is that most people consume too much coffee. They’re already in a poor state of health, running on low energy, and relying on coffee just to get through the day.
Beyond this, most coffee is contaminated with chemical pesticides (since coffee beans are one of the most heavily pesticide sprayed crops) and mold, which is highly toxic to the body—even in small amounts. Mold develops in coffee beans due to how they’re grown, stored, and transported.
How Coffee (Caffeine) Affects Your Health
Increases Cortisol – Caffeine raises cortisol (the stress hormone), which can negatively impact hormone balance, gut health, digestion, and energy levels.
Depletes Energy – The “boost” from caffeine isn’t real energy; it forces your body to release adrenaline, depleting your energy reserves and leaving you more exhausted later.
Dehydrates the Body – Hydration is essential for gut health, hormone balance, energy, and metabolism—and caffeine works against it.
Depletes Nutrients – Caffeine can drain key vitamins and minerals your body needs to thrive.
Loaded with Additives – Most people add creamers and sugar, compounding the negative effects of coffee on their health.
The Good News: You Can Still Enjoy Coffee the Healthy Way
With a few changes, you can still have your coffee while supporting your health:
✅ Limit Your Intake – Stick to 1-2 cups per day max. If you can’t function without coffee, that’s a sign your body needs better nutrition and movement—not more caffeine. We should have energy well into our 70s! Fatigue isn’t from aging; it’s from poor health.
✅ Choose Organic & Mold-Free Coffee with Adaptogens – I always recommend switching to organic, mold-free coffee infused with adaptogens. Adaptogens (which are tasteless in coffee) are types of (tasteless) mushrooms that help the body handle stress, reduce caffeine jitters, and prevent energy crashes by lowering the cortisol spike from caffeine.
The one I personally use and recommend to everyone is Paleo Valley’s Organic mold-free adaptogen coffee, and I have a 15% off discount for you: CLICK HERE TO GET 15% OFF (they ship to Canada and the US)
✅ Drink Your Coffee Black (which is best) OR Use a Clean Creamer & Natural Sweetener – Ditch the artificial creamers and processed sugars. Instead, use:
Plain cream (preferably organic)
Homemade cashew milk or full-fat coconut milk for a dairy-free option
Raw honey as a natural, unprocessed sweetener.
I personally don’t drink much coffee, but I LOVE the taste. When I do treat myself, I always choose PaleoValley’s organic, mold-free adaptogen coffee, and I notice a huge difference. No jitters and no crashes afterwards!
